Dropping IE6 Roundup
Dan Cederholm’s post recently on dropping IE6 support made me think. Some sites try to catalogue every site that drops IE6, but how useful is that? If you’re trying to convince a boss or client that dropping IE6 is precedented, they don’t care if Allen Pike or even the esteemed Dan Cederholm have done it. And so, I try to keep tabs on what big players have dropped IE6 support. Currently, my tally stands at: 37Signals, MobileMe, iWork.com, and GMail. Am I missing anyone else?

I’ve never supported IE6. Not even when it was the only game in town.

Apparently a lot of the major websites in Finland don’t support IE6: http://www.cjohansen.no/en/browsers/norway_tells_ie6_users_to_shape_up

Apparently with Facebook’s redesign, they’ve dropped IE6. That’s pretty darn huge. Do we get to start talking about dropping IE7 now?
